Well done to Home Economics students Poppy Kilpatrick and Olivia Cahalane of Transition Year who recently took part in Macroom’s Food Festival School’s Cookery Competition.
The girls planned, prepared and cooked a main course pasta dish using local West Cork Produce.
As well as making their own pasta from scratch, they experimented with making mascarpone cheese at school using local cream.
You know you are doing well when the Judge Mark Doe of MTU Kerry, complemented the skills and techniques and videoed the girls making their pasta!
Well done Poppy & Olivia and also Aoife O’Donnell, Katie Kingston, Pauline O’Regan and Alise Briede for their involvement and support.
