TY Corvinus will be held from 4 to 8 March 2024.

This programme is based in UCC College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Studies (CACSSS) and

historical humanities.

Our week-long programme includes a range of workshops and taster lectures/seminars on:

▪ English

▪ Greek and Roman Civilisation

▪ History

▪ History of Art

TY Corvinus students will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an

undergraduate student, to attend lectures with undergraduate students and to experience

focused study in special tutorial groups. The programme includes varied workshops (in past

years, these included Creative Writing, Palaeography and Ogham, Applied Theatre: Life Skills).

This structured programme introduces TY students to a broader third-level student experience

and will include a tour of the campus, an introduction to the library and a career talk.

At the end of the course, the students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Application: Entry is by application and limited to eighteen places only.

Students will be admitted to the programme on the basis of their Junior Cert marks, their

motivational statements and the subjects they are studying for Leaving Cert.
