83 staff and students cycled and walked The Waterford Greenway today. It was the biggest number to date who completed this trip, making it a massive success.

The cyclists completed 46 km, stopping in Waterford for the bikes, Kilmeaden for ice cream, Kilmacthomas for lunch, Durrow and Dungarvan.

The walkers who were led by Ms. Carla Nugent and Ms. Siobhan O’Donoghue walked from Kilmacthomas to Durrow.

Skibbereen Community School offers a lot of sports but is also proud of being a big cycling and walking hub.

Thanks to Ms. Órla O’Sullivan, Ms. Karen Sheane, Mr. Cormac O’Brien, Ms. Carla Nugent, Mr. Chris O’Brien, Ms. Shirley Wycherly and Ms. Siobhan Dempsey for accompanying and Mr. Conor Uhl and Ms. Gretta Burchill for organising. Thanks to Ken O’Dea and Phil O’Sullivan from Long’s coaches for their helpfulness.

Everyone will sleep well tonight!
