Well Done to the SCS athletes who were among the 1,000 plus students from over 70 schools in Cork and Kerry who participated in the South Munster XC Championships @Tramore Park .
With medals for the top 6 athletes and qualification to Munster Finals for the top 15 individuals and 4 teams , each of the eight races were very competitive.
Caoimhe Flannery ran superbly to win the Intermediate Girls (u17) 3k title ,in a field of 62 athletes. Ferdia Dennis McAleavey finished an impressive 8th place in the Senior Boys 5k,out of 88 finishers, while his younger brother Ultan clinched the last individual qualifying place finishing a brilliant 15th out of 234 athletes.
The Junior team of Lorraine,Doireann,Maria,Alice,Clodagh,Éabha,Rebecca and Ava finished 11th team out of 21.
Emer had a top 30 finish while Josie and Dovydas gained great experience on their first outing.
