Digital Drop-In Workshop 4

There was lots of activity at this week’s Digital Drop-In workshop with a total of 12 participants, evenly distributed across volunteer TY mentors and learners, two of whom dropped in for the first time this week.
Two participants supported by their mentors joined our WhatsApp community where learnings and tips are shared between workshops. One participant placed an advert on DoneDeal to sell a bicycle and a second is well on the way to advertising another bicycle once we figure out what’s going on with the photo upload issue. In addition to bicycles being advertised for sale there was some interest in wheeling and dealing of the four wheel variety as well! It also transpires that following our BorrowBox focus last week one of our participants can now teach us all a thing or two about borrowing and reserving physical books from the library. This should not be any surprise, after all, we are Learning. Digital. Together.
Tip of the workshop: Don’t ever feel pressured into making a decision about an online transaction you’re not sure about. Take your time, do your research, perhaps ask for advice, and then make your decision.
