Well done to our 4th years for singing their hearts out recently in Cara House, the Bank of Ireland, the nursing home in Baltimore Road and of course SCS.

Composed mainly of all males, they were very organised, knowing better to include some females and that “behind every good male is an even better female”.

They have a natural ability to sing but have now gone from being self-trained singers to be known as “The Singers” in SCS. In fact they make it look easy with practical advice to offer such as “All you need are the lyrics printed off from Margaret in the office and just sing!” It doesn’t get any easier than that they reassure everyone.

More famous up to now for their football skills on the pitch, the prospect of an All Ireland in the near future is not daunting.. they are going to win that anyway. Interestingly it was performing in front of their peers that was considered more daunting!

Full of festive fun they have a loyal fan base now and on request they can sing anything from ‘Last Christmas’ to ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’.

The school is immensely proud of this new group and we can’t wait to hear about their next touring dates of 2023.

Thanks to their TY Co ordinator Ms. Gretta Burchill for organising and their 4th year Religion teachers too. One Direction watch out!
