Many thanks to Mr. Mike Dineen of Teagasc for giving an excellent talk to the School’s Farming Club and the 6th Year Ag Science class recently. He spoke about the latest research work being done at Moorepark and the latest innovations in dairy farming such as red clover silage swords, mainatining milk fat production during late spring, pasture digestibility and amino acid supply, environmental emmissions and home grown protein sources for winter milk systems. Thanks also to Mr. PJ Fitzgerald, Mr. Peter Swanton and Eoin Keane, 6th year for organising the visit.
