The SCS Under 14 Ladies football team played their first ever game at the home of Cork GAA on Friday. They were welcomed to Páirc Uí Chaoimh by James McCarthy, Cork GDA, and treated to a tour of the stadium including a visit to the press conference room and the impressive gym.
They were taken to the dressing rooms where James talked them through pre match routines and recreated the excitement of match day with the county team. The importance of working hard with their clubs and with their school was again emphasised.
The girls then got ready for their match in the fantastic indoor warm up area before taking the field where they showed off their impressive footballing skills. They put on a brilliant display in their game against Kinsale CS and secured a comprehensive victory on the 4G pitch.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed their trip and once again we extend our thanks to all the Páirc Uí Chaoimh staff and Cork coaches for a wonderful day.
