Pictured are members of the Green Schools Committee, their teacher Mr. John McGabhan and Mr. Brian Moore of the Southern Star at the launch of the school's "Reusable Cup Campaign". The team built a tower of 400 cups, the number that are disposed of every three days. Last year 15,000 school coffee cups went to landfill. The Committee have introduced reusable school crested cups and are working with the Canteen company to introduce biodegradable cups. The school community are encouraged to support this worthy cause. Cups are for sale every lunchtime in the canteen. Cost is €5.
